is that a new rule? I thought it's always you had to start the inning with a 3 run lead or come in with the tying run on deck.
No it's not a new rule, it's always been that way.
Ozzie loves playing match-ups and left Thornton in to pitch to Swisher to start the 9th. If you're a Jenks owner you better get used to it because it will happen again this season.
yep, its always been that way.
It hasnt always been this way. Jenks would have got the save last yr if this happen.

Actually he wouldn't have. He came in up by three, bases empty, one out in the ninth. That wasn't a save situation last year either.
Edit: Here you go, a thread from last year with the save rule:

Yes doctor, I am sick.
Sick of those who are spineless.
Sick of those who feel self-entitled.
Sick of those who are hypocrites.
Yes doctor, an army is forming.
Yes doctor, there will be a war.
Yes doctor, there will be blood.....

That's right. Major league managers should think about their players' fantasy stats before trying to win games.
Assuming that is sacasm, thats exactly right. I want Sox players to rack up the stats as much as the next guy, but it was smart of Ozzie to leave Thorton in to Face Chavez to get the lefty-lefty matchup. Ozzie, especially Ozzie, doesn't care a thing about Fantasy Baseball. And he shouldn't.
Is pushing for President Obama to pass a law requiring all citizens to be Chicago White Sox fans and make October 1st "White Sox Day" where we all dress as our favorite player. It maybe socialist, but I don't care.

It's not a new rule, that's how it has always been. Since he came in with the tieing run in the dugout, he didn't get the save.
