I dont see any more topics on him, before the season everybody was in rush to get him... is he facing good pitchers? taking wild swings? still adjusting to the majors?
First and foremost, we're a week into the season. He's seen one weeks worth of major league pitching. To add to that, he's seen Schilling, Beckett, DiceK, Verlander, Bonderman, and AJ Burnett. He's a rookie facing some really solid MLB pitchers. 1 week.
As Pujols, Oritz, and Howard have all shown us. Week One means nothing.
"I do not think baseball of today is any better than it was 30 years ago... I still think Radbourne is the greatest of the pitchers." John Sullivan 1914-Old athletes never change.

The Cafe is full of extremely smart people.
That said, every single year I've seen certain players get hyped way out of proportion to their actual value. Right now I'm sure there are tons of teams this year that took Alex Gordon and Ryan Shealy far too early.
