Niemann looked great in his first start as well



Niemann did not look great, but he looked solid. He was struggling a bit with his control and was on a strict pitch count, but pitched well enough(and better then several of the guys we got in the bigs right now).

You are right, i heard he was great on TV, but i just looked up the stats. Nice K's but he gave up some runs.

Looked like Hammel looked good tonight, did u get a chance to see it Raiders?

No, last night I went to see Clevelands High A club play. Probably will not get back to Durham for a week or so, as Kinston is home the rest of this week.

Sonanstne looked decent but I agree that camp and lugo need to be replaced with Howell and Chad but I would die if we could get Jose Capellan for a cheap price to come here.

i said that in the closer watch. I would love to see lIdge here, no pressure, different league, i think he could succeed.

I think a change of scenery and getting away from Garner will do him some good. Heck, he will definitely be our best reliever even at a 4.5 ERA clip.
