It's still uncertain that he will even start. Padres manager Bud Black said it's 50/50 that he would need to miss a little time to let it heal. He has apparently had the blister since the end of spring training. Whether that affected his first start is unclear, but if he pitches tonight and it opens up, then you can probably forget about the next couple of starts at a minimum. Starting him tonight is just a roll of the dice, but if he starts tonight the results will determine whether to keep him for the second start on the weekend. I have him on my team and plan on starting him, but your league/team situation might be different.
