Starting to hit a little when your team is buried in the basement of the standings does not mean much, IMO. The guy is awful and offers nothing a rookie minor league guy can't at this point. Makes no sense as this guy is going to likely play 30 someo dd games and Torre is basically saying he wants a designated out in the lineup with a decent glove for those occassions. Seguinol can't be any worse a fielder than Giambi, he costs the min and has some potential. Robert FIck is out there too if I am not mistaken and while he is no gold glover that is for sure, still would be a better option than Clark at this point.

all i see in there is...the switch-hitting Clark will come cheaply and is also known as a strong presence in the clubhouse. The 31-year-old is soft-spoken, but was a leader for the Mets last season. :-? :-t

George throws around all that money, then gets hit with the fat Luxury Tax, so he picks Clark :-?

Hmmm, maybe he thinks he can get a tax deduction...high risk or something. Cause from a baseball sense this makes no sense. Hes terrible. For the sox he hit a HR on opening day and one on the last day of the season and like .209 between :-t
