Milledge just got sent to New Orleans. He'll get called up later in the year. Whether or not he gets a break this year will depend on Alou and Green so it's anyone's guess right now.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

he needs to get traded to someone who will actualy use him. the mets are handling him piss poor imo. he raked in ST and he deserves a fair shot.

Yup, totally agree. The Mets have done a diservce to Milledge this year. Sit him on the bench? While he could be getting bats in New Orleans where you knew he was going to end up in a couple weeks anyways. HORRIBLE

I think both of you are a bit over the top. :)

He sat on the bench for a grand total of nine games. He missed 8 minor league games.
