Schilling's Blog

Postby ScrappyDoo » Mon Apr 09, 2007 10:34 am

I know he can be obnoxious and annoying at times, but it is interesting to read his thought by thought process of his games.

Everyone sees him writing in his notebook all the time.

It gives good insight to what goes through a pitcher's head when they are on the mound.

Does anyone else read this.

I get a little annoyed with Schilling myself, he preaches too much. But hes a great pitcher and its intereresting to see how someone who's been around as long as he has approaches the game.

It is pretty interesting. It's nice to get insight of players. But,if he was really truthful,he would have some nasty things to say about Pineiro.I guess him NOT saying anything about him says it all.

It is interesring reading his indepth thoughts on his own start (what he is thinking on a certain pitch, what it is like to face Michael Young, ect...)

Whats his beef with Pinerio ive never heard of that. And I dont think any teammate would trash his own teammates in a public forum unless they were a scumbag.

Speaking of which, I think a Bonds blog would be hilarious. I watched Bonds on Bonds, it was very funny, although unintentionally.

I haven't read the blog, but I think the Pineiro comment above was about last night's eighth inning. Here's the play-by-play summary from Yahoo.

Bottom 8th: Texas
- J. Pineiro relieved C. Schilling
- G. Laird walked
- I. Kinsler walked, G. Laird to second
- K. Lofton reached on bunt single to third, G. Laird to third, I. Kinsler to second
- J. Lopez relieved J. Pineiro

This is the eighth inning of a game that Schilling didn't seem to want to come out of. Ultimately, it worked out and Schilling got the win, but it was certainly no thanks to Pineiro.

Schilling did not want to come out of that game. They put Piniero in and he practically blew it as listed above.

Timlin will be back soon enough.
Let's go O's. Let's go Mets.

I'm sort of surprised Schilling hasn't found a way to update his blog while he is still on the mound. For as much grief as A-Rod gets for trying too hard to be a media darling, Schilling is just as bad if not worse.

different set of standards .. One has a ring, the other does not .

I had been reading his blog since he put it up, but the man is so full of himself, it really is hard to motivate yourself to go back.
I have 38 pitches on RSS, and have only been scanning it for the last week or so, instead of actually reading. Has there been anything good lately?
