Ks don't matter (unless you're in a league with Ks as a cat, but Byrnes doesn't have exceptionally high K rate anyways).

So, Byrnes or teammate Young, who'll have a better year?

He is very streaky. He's had some nice runs and I can see him putting up decent numbers but it's very hard to predict with a player like Byrnes.

Good point. His BA pre all-star is .05 points higher and his OPS is almost .200 higher.

You'll probably end up cutting Byrnes. Why? Because he'll hit .200 for a whole month, that's his go to move every season. But again, I've watched him play 100's of games, I like the guy, and I hope he does well. On that same note, he reads a fly ball like Ray Charles.

I had him last year and paid $17 for him this year in our Auction. I should have kept him for $7.

I kept him for $8 in one of mine.

I figured 20/20 was reasonable, but with this solid start, maybe 25/25 again. It's early though, so hard to bank on anything at the moment. Just glad to see the nice first week he put up , plus I think I managed to wind up with him on all of my teams .

Honestly he'd have to have one hell of a season to even catapult himself into the single digit rounds (8-9) let alone the first.

The guy plays the game of baseball with the mentality of a middle LB.

He also plays the outfield like one. When he was on the A's I would get nervous every time a ball was hit his way. He has terrible fundamentals out there and that would force him to make super athletic catches on not so hard to catch balls.

That said, he was a fan favorite for his attitude and energy, and understandably so. He should reach 20/20 again this season no problem.

i think he's a great player when healthy but his all-out approach gets him frequently dinged up. he does need to hit better vs RHPs though.

You get the picture. But I will say that Byrnes is by far more talented than Shelton ever will be.
