Who should I keep?

Postby Heavy Lumber » Tue Dec 30, 2003 2:23 pm

SP - Dontrelle Willis
SP - Gil Meche
SP - Carlos Zambrano
SP - Barry Zito
SP - Wade Miller
RP - Eddie Guardado
RP - Byung Hyun Kim
RP - Mike MacDougal
RP - John Smoltz
RP - Jason Isringhausen
RP - Danny Kolb

C - Javy Lopez
C - Mike Piazza
1B - Carlos Delgado
1B/3B - Phil Nevin
2B - Bret Boone
3B - Aaron Boone
SS - Derek Jeter
OF - Aaron Guiel
OF - Chipper Jones
OF - Jim Edmonds
OF - Jody Gerut

Based on my roster listed above..... I can keep 6 players going into next season in a points based league (W,L, SV, IP, etc) and (TB, SB, Runs, RBI, etc). Who should I keep around?

My initial thoughts are:

1. John Smoltz
2. Barry Zito
3. Derek Jeter
4. Chipper Jones
5. Bret Boone
6. Carlos Delgado

What does everyone think? :-/

Well, due to position scarcity, I'd have to think about keeping Piazza over Chipper. The rest of the keepers look good.
Another Year, Another Championship. I'm 2 for 2.

If you start 2 catchers. If you only start 1, then I'd cut Javy and keep Chipper.

Tough call, but those are my picks. You have a lot of talent, so if your trade deadline hasn't passed, then I'd go for a 2 for 1, or a 3 for 1 for an upgrade to a stud.

I am also a big fan of Edmonds and Gerut....I think Gerut will have a solid year!
