I think "the boss" put way too much pressure on the kid and he had a bit of a slump in the world series. He did go 2/3 in his last game though. That's all I wanted to say. I don't see any reason why Soriano won't pull off a 40/40 season this year.
i'm not sure if the yankees will let him run 40 time, espicially if he's in the middle of the lineup. I'd say 45/30

More like the bottom of the lineup if Lofton does well enough. He'll be batting seventh at best, in front of Boone and the pitcher.

This is the
AL
I also dont see soriano being moved
that low. I'd say maybe 2, 5, or 6 depending upon what else happens

But I'm seeing a Yankees lineup along these lines:
1 Lofton (L)
2 Jeter (R)
3 Giambi (L)
4 Sheffield (R)
5 B. Williams (S)
6 Posada (S)
7 Matsui (L)
8 Soriano (R)
9 Boone (R)

i'm not so sure lofton will produce like they think he will. That said, i just dont think that Torre will hit soriano so low. Nothing to back it up, just a gut feeling, but we will see!!

I agree with that lineup to start the season, but I think Lofton will be benched and/or traded sometime before the break and Soriano will be back at leadoff. I'm not a fan of Lofton, as you can tell.

me either. He really messed over the braves when he rode the pine for 40 games in 97 and only stole 27 bases. Blah
