I've won a couple championships in the last few years in fantasy football and am only slightly annoyed by the one player who barely knows what he's doing. It'd be nice to have a full league of very experienced players, but the league is already tough enough as it is.
That being said, I AM that player that barely knows what he's doing as far as fantasy baseball is concerned. I'm in a Yahoo free league, and as you can see by my few posts,
http://www.fantasybaseballcafe.com/foru ... p?t=269097 I'm learning as I go. I'm taking it very seriously and I think by the time 162 games are done, I should be ready to seriously compete in a money league next year.
To answer sublime1's question, I think we play fantasy baseball because 1. We enjoy baseball and 2. Our instinct to compete and crush our opposition takes over us. This year I will be the one getting crushed, but watch out for me next year!
