From what I've heard, Wainwright grew like three inches last year, and this was starting to affect his mechanics.

Cardinals have no plans to use him in rotation this year, If he lights up AAA and they run out of other options it could happen. He needs work on mechanics after his growth and they dont want to rush him{ankiel]. They have some really good young arms in the minors to go with him in 2005 or 2006. They have the potential of a good young staff then and cheap. This could allow them to keep Pujols, Rolen and Renteria. In a keeper , if you can wait on him he could be worth it but I wouldnt expect anything for a couple of years.
