While it's inevitable that at least 1 Cardinal pitcher will go down, the Cards have a lot of swingmen -- Simontacchi, Calero, Pearce, Haren/Carpenter(whichever doesn't make the rotation) so Wainwright may not see action this year.

indeed.....i think, and hope, they learned a damn good lesson from ankiel so i would hold off on wainwright for the time being.

i'll be suprised if he is in the Cards rotation but he was the top Braves pitching prospect. He will probably go to Triple A unless he has a tremendous Spring Training.

i would be surprised if he started the season with the big league club but he could make some starts late in the year depending on how things work out.

i dont think that he will have a whole lot of worth next year but he seems to be a solid pick in a keeper league.

6-8 monster of a kid.

was 10-8 3.37 era 128ks in 149 ip in Dbl A

still needs some work but has great potential.

they had the best outfield in baseball last year, instead of trying to have the best again, they shouldnt be signing an outfielder who gets injured every month. I guess im jealous we didnt get drew but if the braves got one, just one decent pitcher outta that deal i would have plugged them into the nl east championship. but theres always the wild card

we're not done yet...there are plenty of good pitchers out there.

Reed, Rogers, Ponson..

the Braves might land one before too long. Good enough to at least be a #3 starter...
