Teams with set catchers (no upgrades, either due to talent or $$):
Arizona (Hammock,Barajas), Atlanta (Marrero,Estrada), Boston (Varitek), Chicago-NL(Alomar,Olivo), Cleveland (Bard,Martinez), Colorado (Chas Johnson), Fla (Castro,Redmond), Houston (Ausmus), KC (Santiago, Stinnett), LA (Hundley, LoDuca), Milwaukee (Moeller, Bennett), Minn (LeCroy), Mtl (Schnieder), Yankees (Posada), Oakland (D Miller), Philly (Lieberthal), Pitts (Kendall), SD(Hernandez), SF (Pierzynski), STL (Matheny), TB (Hall), Texas (Diaz), Toronto (Myers)

Teams with bad catchers (upgrades needed):
Anaheim (Benji Molina), Cincinatti (LaRue,Miller), Detroit, Seattle (Dan Wilson)

Teams with good catchers, but may upgrade:
Baltimore (Javy Lopez), Chicago-NL (Barrett, Bako), Mets (Piazza may shift to 1B for it)

It looks like Detroit will have the money to sign him (since they didn't get Tejada), and Seattle could use him, but my guess is he goes to either Baltimore, the Cubs, or the Mets and they shift one of their other guys to the field/DH to accomodate. There just arent that many teams out there with the money right now. Maybe Hicks will finally trade some of his hitting for pitching, and then dig deep to sign Javy to catch them.

Looks like he missed out on the free agent money again this year, I would guess Detriot if they bid high enough.

Umm, Javy Smith, my old college roommate. ;-)
I meant Pudge, I guess it wasn't obvious enough.

No, it was. I was just being blatant. As far as I'm aware the only major salaries of positional players that they could and would move would be A-rod and Greer (and he ain't packing any time soon). And Pudge going back to the Rangers seems a little far-fetched considering their history, his contract demands, and a currently depleted starting rotation.

The only thing I've seen about him is that the Orioles may still be interested if Vlad doesn't sign with them. They'd move Javy to DH or 1B.
Also, if no one else is willing to pay him what he'd like, the Cubs may make a late 1-year offer for him. Ozzie Guillen says that's where he'd like to play next year.

boras and pudge got what they deserved.
the marlins were the only team that gave him what he wanted.
boras then cameback and demanded 4yrs at 10mil per.
the Marlins and Oriloes both made reasonable offers now what is he going to get?

I think he will wind up with the Cubbies but at nowhere near what he was asking for. ;-)
