We have a prospect draft going right now, and my pick is coming up. I don't know much about Minor leaguers besides the fact that Hunter Pence raked in ST. The thing about our draft is that the only way we retain the rights to the player is if they are called up THIS SEASON. So, I could draft Justin Upton, but if he's not called up then he is useless. Last year I drafted Alex Gordon and Howie and missed out on Gordon because he was not called up in time.
Anyways, the rules are pretty simple, as explained above. The league is a 20 man keeper league (Dynasty), so I really just hope my prospects can carry over to next year... We play on Yahoo, so the only Prospects that are available in our prospect draft are one's that are not on Yahoo's database (So Bailey, others are not available)
Here are the players that have been taken so far... Let me know who you think I should target. Position really has nothing to do with who I take...
Phillip Hughes
Adam Miller
Ryan Braun
Yovani Gallardo
Billy Butler
Joey Votto
Who are some guys that I should target that will get called up THIS YEAR???
Hunter Pence is the guy you want to go after. Another guy that should get called up is Brandon Wood, but I don't know if he is available in Yahoo! right now. Matt Harrison has a 50/50 chance of making it this year.
I would rank them
1. Wood
2. Pence
3. Harrison
I don't really see too many prospects making a splash this year.
Carlos Gonzalez (of the D-Backs) and Ryan Braun (of the Brew Crew)
Both will rake and should be called up sometime this year.
Pence is a pretty medicore prospect.

Andrew McCutchen OF PIT Eric Hurley SP TEX Jeff Clement C SEA Daric Barton 1B OAK Ian Stewart 3B COL Carlos Gonzalez OF ARI Cesar Carrillo SP SD Scott Elbert SP LAD Hunter Pence OF HOU Brian Barton OF CLE Jacoby Ellsbury Jarrod Saltalamacchia C ATL Jeff Niemann SP TB Kurt Suzuki C OAK Yuniel Escobar SS/2B ATL Reid Brignac SS TB
I think Brignac, McCutchen, or Gonzalez are the clear choices.

Carlos Gonzalez won't get called up this year. It is going to be hard to get called up with an outfield consisting of:
Eric Byrnes Scott Hairston Chris B. Young Carlos Quentin
I doubt they are commited to starting an all rookie outfield.
I see him as a 20 homer guy, .275, maybe 5-10 steals. Nothing really special. that is okay, but not great from an Outfielder.
Gonzalez will at least get a cup of coffee come september.
Braun and Gonzalez have much bigger Upside.

Right, but Braun is out of the equation since he was already drafted before his pick.
