Roto leagues seem to be far more popular. I actually prefer the points leagues because your team is not subject to losing to an inferior team that just happens to have a big week. I believe that points league offer a more comprehensive way of deciding which team is the best for the season. Just wondering what everyone else views as the advantages and disadvantages of these types of leagues.

I like Head to Head. Me and my friends that play in leagues always talk trash to each other on the message board. Makes it a lot more fun. I think last year in a 12 team league we had over 1200 post on our league message board. Most of it was trash talking and I loved it.
Baseball is the only field of endeavor where a man can succeed three times out of ten and be considered a good performer.

H2H---lots of negatives. Roster churning, quantity over quality, one bad week and you're out of the playoffs, etc.
Points---I haven't found a point league that I liked yet. You don't need a balanced team, just point scorers. Different, but not my kind of league.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
H2H--can be good if the limits are set right....but too many negavtives.....
Points--Gives to the best point scorers...not to the most balanced team....Don't really like them...

England's Worcester Canoe Club set the world record for paddling a hand-propelled bathtub. The 25 man team covered a distance of 55 miles, 425 yards in 24 hours on September 28 and 29, 1979.
There is nothing like trash talking in a points league! In roto, what are you going to say to the guy in last place? Nice steals? PLus in roto, if you get buried by the break, you're practically done. In points, one or two trades and you can get back into it quick. Tight wins, tight losses. If you're not going to make playoffs, who doesn't like to play spoiler and screw someone? The rush of the playoffs is awesome. I can't get too jacked up being up .001 of a batting average point with 2 games to go, but being down 9 points and you're guy cracking a grand slam on the late game Sunday night is awesome. You go to bed with a smile. Can't wait to see the clown you knocked out of the playoffs (and the money) the next day. I play both, but prefer the face to face of a points league. You have to be able to look in someones eyes while stepping on their neck!
