It is WAY too early to give up on Gordon. Lots of people struggle when they first come up. He has the tools and he will straighten it out. Just keep him on the bench in the meantime.

I play in 4 leagues and Gordon has been dropped in 2 of them. Lucky me.

I wonder if Gordon will get a similar treatment as Teahen did last year. He struggled in the majors and went back down. After a month or so in the minors he was recalled and started to tear up the majors.

Perhaps they will do the same with Gordon if his struggles continue?

With Alex Gordon's start, any one of them may be a more certain option at least, but I'm holding onto Gordon for at least a couple more weeks to see if he turns into last year's overhyped disappointment... Hermida.

Yep same here I'm holding onto him for maybe 2-3 more weeks before it's off to the waiver wire. He was so good during spring training that you know the potential is there.

Well I have him in a keeper league, so I'll keep him stashed on my bench until he figures things out. I only wish I had drafted a better companion 3B than Chad Tracy to back him up.

just read this now and agree with it. i went with aram to make sure i got a great 3B but after realized even in 10 team league you can get some good ones late. i have upton and hall as well so gordon was an easy drop for me. he is very talented but i cant see waiting a few months on him to come around unless its a keeper league, then hes a great pickup.

Not for Encarnacion but I think he's droppable if the right player came along. I don't think it's time to panic and change projections and I had Gordon for .290/21/84/80/12. That's pretty darned good for a third baseman but with the depth at third base this year that's not undroppable.

Stash him unless there's someone on the wire that has more value than whatever you projected for Gordon pre-season. One week isn't enough to change projections unless there's an injury or loss of job.
