Anyone have the skinny? This of course would mean you were watching a Royals game and I know you wouldn't want to admit to that, but still it would be nice to know why he's not in the lineup.

Probably just a day off.

Buddy Bell said on Thursday that Sanders will start on Saturday, so I guess he decided to bench Teahen

I know Teahan can't field the OF yet, but it's weird that he'd sit the team's only decent bat. Just noticed that Gordon is out too, seems like you're right, he's just giving the boys a day off. I hope this doesn't become a regular thing.

I just picked up E. Encarnacion... in case Teahen is having a "day off" like that too often.

This is disturbing. I didn't think Teahen was the kind of guy that would regularly get days off. But it's early (five games in?) and he's already getting a rest? That's disconcerting.

I noticed Maroth, a lefty, was starting for Detroit. Is this going to become a platoon type of arrangement? 'Cause if so, he becomes a lot less attractice, particularly for my league, which has weekly changes. Ugh.
