Brandon Wood is having a HORRIBLE start to triple-A. Man he's striking out a bunch

0-4 2strike outs today
0-4 3strike outs yesterday

Even last year, his numbers in Triple-A and Double A weren't that impressive. It's his numbers in 2005 A+ that were stunning.

Looking at Dunn's and Glaus' numbers, they both had Very good numbers and even in batting avg in triple-A and had better numbers in triple than what Wood had in Double-A

If you're Brandon Wood right now, should you be worried not living up to the hype?

Should I have gone with Bruce or Butler instead of Wood? /cry

71 XBH in 453 AB isn't impressive? Tough crowd.

just really concerned with his strikeout ratio. His SO ratio has increased dramatically from A to AA and major league pitchers are smart and will exploit that.

Brandon's Wood strikeout ratio

at A 1 strikeout per 4.112 AB

at A+ 1 strikeout per 4.1875 AB

at AA 1 strikeout per 3.04 AB

In comparison, these were Glaus' and Dunns strikeout ratio in the minors:
Glaus
at AA 1 strikeout per 4.58 AB

Dunn
at A 1 strikeout per 4.44 AB

at AAA 1 strikeout per 4.11 AB

Troy doesn't have Wood's speed. Brandon wood has the highest power cieling of all top prospects (higher than Young, higher than Gordon, higher than Butler) and has the speed to steal 20 bases a year. If Glaus ever stole that many bases you know how much more valueable he would be?

Not even

He reminds me of Chad Hermansen

Hermansen had insane power numbers as well and this upper cut swing but could never hit when it came to the majors because the MJ pitchers were smart.

Are you all sure that he'll have a better major league career than Ryan Braun and Longoria?

Well Butler will probably be a full time DH very early in his career. Bruce has nice talent but has done anything above a-ball and is pretty far away.
