Just got back from the game tonight against the Braves, and he looked good. It was pretty cold, but his pitching didn't look affected by it at all. He got the benefit of several Atl misques, but otherwise a good showing. Don't know how this will bode for the rest of his season, but wanted to let the Cafe know.

Word, he struck out 6, walked none and dominated. Make what you will of the 11 Mets runs, Ollie pitched great against the 3-0 Braves.
If you're a battery, you're either working or you're dead....
Dang, i traded him in a last minute deal before the start of the season for Carl Pavano...hopefully Perez will get a bad game and the manager will drop him
I actually agree w/ what the topic creator said, Ollie was not completely dominant and he did indeed have several miscues. His control was decent but unexceptional (well, exceptional for him), and he got 2 or 3 double plays that really helped him big time when runners were on base.
That being said, clearly this is a very optimistic sign for Perez's season.
Ahhh, the life of an Ol Perez owner! Different week= different Perez who showed up tonight against the Phils. 7 walks and 2 Ks in just under 3 IP. In the words of Bill Walton, that is terrible.
