Ouch, blown save tonight, and a nasty one. How do we see his season panning out, given tonight's mess and the potential injury problem (back, I believe) that could be underlying everything.

Drop him (and Pujols and Ortiz, if you have them).

Obviously worse than last year (you can't get much better than last year), but up to the quality of his last season in Baltimore I expect. With those 3 ER today, he's already more than a quarter of the way to last year's ERs (11), unfortunately.

I'm worried that his pitching issues displayed tonight are related to his injury (in which case we'll see more of this, one can assume). If anyone has a more inside story, let me know.

I have BJ Ryan and I am pretty sure I'm going to offer him up for Torres at this point. If the 1st 5 days are any indication of how the season will play out...

If he was really hurt(back), they would have started him on the d.l.Teams don't rush banged up players into the start of the season.Don't worry he'll be fine.

Why is everyone in panic mode after 4 games!?

At the end of the year Albert and Papie will have their 40 homers and Ryan will have his 35 saves (barring injury).

With all due respect, this isn't a "OMG Ryan blew a save plz help me!!!1!" thread. I'm asking about anyone's knowledge of tonight's performance and potential injury-relationship to it. I made that pretty clear from the get go.

Yeah, I thought that was pretty obvious. I haven't heard anything about BJ Ryan though, I'll post some info if I find anything.
