I love him too. Forget Derosa.

I'm hurting at 3B right now, hoping he can get some more appearances to qualify there. This guy could be valuable all year if they keep finding room for him.

I think A-Ram would have to go down again for Theriot to get time at third. I think he's their answer at the leadoff spot. Pie isn't ready, and Soriano needs to move down to the two.

Can he play SS? To me the obvious offensive hole in the cubs lineup is at SS. I am struggling to see where he is going to get playing time unless they bench DeRosa or Move him to SS.

He can, but they love Izturis's "D" right now.
Plus they have Cedeno as a backup SS, who cannot play the OF, while Ryan can.
I would doubt Theriot gets much time at SS
Thanks to Idahofan for the sweet graphic!

I hope they give him some starts in the OF. Now that Aramis and DeRosa are back, it's going to be tough for him to continue to start every day, but they should try to make room for him if they can. Perhaps in left instead of Cliff Floyd or Jacque Jones.
Izturis is going to stay in the lineup no matter what. Theriot's D isn't so hot. The Cubs have a lot of talented middle infielders so it's hard to see any of them really playing every single day.

If you have a spot, I think he's definitely worth a flyer, but if you have a shallow roster or a moves limit or anything like that I'd hold off since it looks like he'll be unreliable to start regularly.
