Tony is a big lefty (6'7") who can throw power stuff. Many scouts considered him first round talent but signability issues allowed him to fall to the third round.
He has a 4-seam fastball that hits 90-93 right now out of high school, and he could reach 96-98 level by the time his body fully develops. He complements it with a nice Curveball that he struggles commanding at times, and a great changeup. He is a Daniel Cabrera type guy though, plenty of talent to mature, but if his control doesn't follow suit thats all you get.
His best comparisin in ability/style is to Scott Kazmir, but he deviates quite a bit from Kazmir, so he doesn't really have a good comp in the majors.
I really really like him as a prospect, though I'm a Mariner fan so take that for what its worth. His numbers were great in his limited play last season, as you probably know, and enough to make him the #4 prospect in the M's farm system along with his pure ability.
This time next year I expect to see him around #85 in the Top Prospects in Baseball Lists.
