Revisited: 2003 Fantasy MVP

Well, for my fantasy MVP I'd like to throw out these names:

Why? Because they all earned $20 or more worth of stats over their projected value for 2003.

That's important because while you expect Vlad and A-Rod and Manny, etc. to do well, you took them in your first or second draft slot. Most of these guys fell into the late rounds of the draft and still gave you a huge year, and therefore should be commended from a fantasy perspective. In fact, I could have punted home runs with this lineup and still delivered a Top2 finish in a 12 team league, I bet.
To me, that's what makes a guy a fantasy MVP. And the guy out of these players who provided the most value ($earned - $bought) was Scott Podsednik. So he's my fantasy MVP. Loiaza would be my fantasy CY Winner.

You are right on, Swarmee. The trick for next season is to pick those players who'll be on that list for '04. If you get enough of them you win.

no.. and I havn't heard about Vlad's either...

kind of worried cuz Vlad is one of my keepers and he didn't steal squat after he came back...

I recently acquired Vlad in a keeper league, and I'm not concerned about his back at all. All my doubts were answered when he hit that 502 foot home run that dented the stadium last year.
