There is only guy in my league that needs SS help that has a closer to part with. He has JJ Putz. What do you all think of Glaus for Putz?

Trying to do that now. Offered up Renteria to a team with Peralta as his SS for JJ Putz. I drafted Renteria three picks after Putz was drafted, and combined with Renteria's hot start, that'll get the Putz owner to at least think about it.

If he counters with Glaus for Putz, I'm not ready to do that. I just traded for Glaus because 3B was previously weak. He's also the only guy on my roster with eligibility at more than one (non-Utility) position. And like somebody said, I can plug him in at SS and put Encarnacion at 3rd.

WW pickins' are too thin for CP's, which is the only glaring weakness I see on your roster... You might consider moving someone like Beckett or Vasquez for a mid-level closer, maybe someone with a high ceiling but an unproven track record... maybe someone like Putz or Valverde would be available in trade. Thanks for the help on mine!

Agree with ROC's suggestion of trying to trade away for another mid-tier closer; you may also want to take a chance on picking up a closer in waiting and hoping one falters. Saves off the wire can be found year-round.

Why trade for a mid tier closer if you have Weathers? he is decent and keep your eye on that FLA closer situation.

thanks!

Francoeur has had a pretty hot start, and has a new batting stance which is supposed to improve his .avg for this year.
