You helped me, which I appreciate, but I know very little about minor league prospects. I'd do more harm than good if I answered. How about a rain check?

Braun has been taken, and I just took Linecum with the last pick in the 1st round. Now I am waiting on final opinions to decide whom to go with as the first pick in the 2nd round...

Bruce who was the best player you had the option of selecting from.

I think Lincecum was a must-grab, as he's likely to make a splash in the Bigs in the near future and of course, the comparisons of him being another version of Roy Oswalt.

I'll be the oddball and entertain the idea of drafting Evan Longoria. He's probably a few picks too early, but talented enough to crack the Majors in 2008. The only thing holding him back is the D'Rays depth in infield prospects obviously, but for his potential upside, I think he has the best mix of potential and capability of the mix. I'd probably take Jay Bruce, who could wind up packing a big punch like Adam Dunn to some extent, but could improve his average. Adam Miller and Andrew McCutchen are reasonable picks also, but relative to draft/rank position, Bruce is the "safest" pick.

I'd probably wait on Fernando Martinez and Jose Tabata. Each is quite young, still developing, despite the touting both have gotten. I'd pass on them as I see both being a late 2nd/early 3rd round pick from where I sit (even though it's hard to prognosticate minors drafts).

I would definately take Tim Linecum (which, apparently you already did) and Jay Bruce.

Your first mistake wasn't drafting on needs, but rather looking at rotoworld's rankings.

Jay Bruce will be up next year, so he contributes pretty soon.
