Does anyone know for sure or not if he is playing today against the NYY (4/4)?

Reason I ask it because I read this on Rotoworld:

Rocco Baldelli's injured hamstring cramped up Monday, but he remained in the game and later stole a base after singling.
"I cramped up right when I swung," Baldelli said. "I swung and took my first step out of the box and my leg cramped up. I knew what it was right away, but there was nothing I could do about it at that point except turn around and walk back to the dugout. I was just hoping it didn't stay cramped, and it didn't."

Never mind, I just saw that the NYY/ TB game is postponed. So that makes my decision a lot easier. ;-D

This guy is just an injury waiting to happen. Anyone who has him should be looking to trade him now.

After this news? I don't think so.
What value could you get for him? It's not 2004. I'd wait until he plays a solid couple weeks and is mashing the ball, then sell to the top bidder.

Cold weather parks Baldelli

Rocco Baldelli, CF TB

News: Devil Rays DH/OF Rocco Baldelli and C Dioner Navarro have tender hamstrings, so both were held out of the lineup on a windy, 38-degree night Thursday against the Yankees. "That was my call. When I went out to get coffee this morning it was snowing and I said, `No,'" manager Joe Maddon said. "Both wanted to play. Understand, it's the second game of the season. I just didn't want to risk it."

Since he is playing indoors tonight I would think its safe to say he is going to play...right? He should at least be DH. And D-Ray fans know for sure?

Because of the weather, Rocco Baldelli is being held out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Yankees.
The Rays don't want him trying to run with the temperature in the 30s. He'll be back DHing on Friday. Jonny Gomes is filling in tonight.

The weather will stay chilly all over the country for another week; so a lot of borderline injury players will get benched or get limited at bats. Just be prepared for the occasional precautionary benching and nothing more.
