Drafted a week ago in an 8 team 5x5 league.

Allergic to Whores
21. (167) Chris Iannetta C
3. (23) Derrek Lee 1B
1. (7) Chase Utley 2B
4. (26) Jimmy Rollins SS
2. (10) Miguel Cabrera 3B
5. (39) Vernon Wells OF
6. (42) Bobby Abreu OF
16. (122) Shane Victorino OF
8. (58) Jim Thome Util
9. (71) Ryan Zimmerman 3B
17. (135) Frank Thomas Util
18. (138) Cliff Floyd OF (Dropped for Eric Byrnes)
19. (151) Drop Willy Taveras for Adrian Gonzalez
22. (170) Drop Bob Howry for Wilson Betemit

Pitchers
12. (90) Justin Verlander SP
14. (106) Jason Schmidt SP
13. (Dropped Scott Olson for Derek Lowe SP)
## FA Kelvim Escobar SP (Filled Weaver's spot)
7. (55) B.J. Ryan RP
10. (74) J.J. Putz RP
15. (119) Joel Zumaya RP

20. (Dropped Scot Shields for Clemens) (Bench)
11. (87) Jered Weaver SP DL

I waited on pitching obviously. I've got waivers in to get either C. Hamels or Chris Ray (giving up Zumaya)

Thinking of grabbing Wiggington for Betemit or Gonzalez. I got Betemit for his versatility and Gonzo for a backup 1B. Wiggy takes care of both. Thoughts?

Also looking for a roster spot for Markakis.

My starters make me a little nervous. FA's include, Petite, Glavine, Bush, Hudson to name a few. I'm also a Boof Bonser fan, might need to talk me out of him.

I should also mention that this is my first fantasy draft.

Your hitting is great, but your catcher is not.

I'd drop Betemit for Markakis, and I'd ignore Wiggy. Wiggy's not going to play well enough or regularly enough.

I'd love it if you had room to get both Bonser and Olsen. Your SP could use that shot in the arm.

Thoughts on mine? http://www.fantasybaseballcafe.com/foru ... 04#2154404

I would get Cole Hamels, Tom Glavine, Chris Ray or Bonser, replacing Zumaya or Clemens (or both).
I don't like Zumaya yet as a good RP (Chris Ray will do better imo) and Clemens won't give you jack shit until he decides when to play. Get any of those and you'll have a good pitching staff.

Aside from that and the fact that you seriously need a better C, you're team is pretty solid. Just drop Betemit for Markakis ;-D

Yeah, I thought I'd snag him and wait him out but I suppose I can drop him and keep an eye on his return.

I've got Hamels and Ray waiting to clear waivers (both for Zumaya so I only get one)

If I drop the Rocket I'll probably go after Bonser because he has the best name in baseball or pick Olsen back up (who I know nothing about) and leave the much higher rated Glavine because his age make me nervous. If someone can make a case for grabbing Glavine and dropping an SP, I'm listening. I like my closers (Putz, Ryan) so it'll have to be a starter unless convinced otherwise.

Good post, thanks Kuji
