It was early in the game, so he should be safe. Although I'm wondering what the ramifications of this might be for Dukes playing time. I'd rather see Dukes playing instead of Gomes, and I'm thinking that will certainly continue for as long as Baldelli DHs.

As long as Baldelli DHs, Dukes will start in Center. When they feel Baldelli can return to CF, Dukes should def. be the DH if he is still hitting well. No reason to put the .190 hitting Gomes in the lineup.

But these are the Devil Rays we are talking about. The kings of stupid decisions.
