Looking for a young SP

Postby powenM » Mon Apr 02, 2007 12:33 pm

A team is interested in my CGranderson. I dont mind throwing Sledge in their(CF) until Pie is ready(or I get another young CF). My objective is to build my team a little more(while ridding it of the overated players)

Saying this Id like to add a young SP(Unless u see something to obtain otherwise).

Heres what hes got(in terms of intetresting & possibly obtainable players for Grandy):

Ian Snell
James Shields
Jeff Francis
Clay Hensley

Do u think it is worth it. And if u pick one pls say Y & give your projections.

20Team Dynasty league

R HR RBI SB AVG OPS W SV K HLD ERA WHIP

My Team (Pls note there r 3 Utility starting positions also):

C Brian McCann, Chris Iannetta
1B James Loney N/A, Ryan Shealy
2B Ryan Freel
SS Édgar Rentería, Khalil Greene, BWood N/A
3B Álex Rodríguez
LF Cliff Floyd, Adam Lind N/A
CF Curtis Granderson, Félix Pié N/A
RF Álex Ríos, RChurch

SP Jason Schmidt
Brandon Webb
Jeremy Sowers
Ervin Santana
HSanchez N/A
Tim Lincecum N/A

RP Brad Lidge
Mike MacDougal
Alan Reyes
Pat Neshek

Thank U!
Just traded BButler, BWood & JLoney for Mark Teixeira, Ryan Theriot & Renyel Pinto in a DYNASTY LEAGUE. Big gamble I know!

I would most likely do it for Snell or Hensley.

Hensley has the better park, and IMO the better peripherals, but I believe that Snell will get a lot more Ks.

I would consider it for Shields, but I think he would have to add something.

Hensley: 13 Wins/3.72 ERA/1.23 WHIP/150Ks
Snell: 11 Wins/4.06 ERA/1.32 WHIP/185 Ks

I am not the best at projecting, so I would take that with a grain of salt.

Sledge is LF, not CF.

With the 3 Util spots hitting is more important than pitching in this league. I wouldn't do it just for scarcity reasons.

I wouldn't mind Snell, but with 3 UTIL spots and all those NA bats I would probably hold on to Granderson.

Based on those options, I also believe I would hold onto Granderson until a more attractive situation presented itself. You could probably package him for something better if you shopped around some.

well apparently the owner may be willing to part with SP Chris Young for Grandy.

Him or should I go for Snell?

go for Young, my next choice would be Hensley anyway.
Are you interested in joining a 28 teams dynasty league? If so, PM me.

That would leave your offense with
C Brian McCann,
1B , Ryan Shealy
2B Ryan Freel
SS Édgar Rentería,
3B Álex Rodríguez
LF Cliff Floyd,
CF Ryan Church
RF Álex Ríos
Util - Chris Iannetta
Util - Khalil Greene,
Util - ??

Adam Lind N/A
BWood N/A
James Loney N/A
Félix Pié N/A

I would not want to go into battle without a full offense. You've got 4 quality SP already.

Thats ok for now i aint done. My next step is another OF.

By the way he accepted my Grandy for Young.

If Lidge can get it going my pitching is set. Its just the OF now.
