Dotel not available for Opening Day...

Postby chinch sacs » Sun Apr 01, 2007 10:30 pm

From RotoWorld:

Octavio Dotel will not be available on Opening Day because of his strained left oblique muscle.

The Royals will decide Wednesday whether to place him on the DL. "There is a chance that he could be put on the disabled list," manager Buddy Bell said. "We don't think it is a long-term situation." Bell didn't say who would close while Dotel is out, but David Riske looks like the top option.

It is nice of you to point that out, however, not every person that visits the Cafe goes to EVERY thread EVERY time they come here. I thought people might want to know in case of a draft or line-up settings

Definately not a good thing.

Seems like we hear more and more about pitchers with oblique strains and it ends up taking them weeks to recover. I'm not sure how good his numbers will be, but seems like the right time to take a Riske. ;-7

Why can't he post it here? I know I don't always weed through the whole closer thread.

Closers thread is getting overloaded with people asking about their fantasy rosters, that's the real problem. :*)

Anyways, I don't see why decently big news like this don't also deserve their own thread.
