Holds: best way to set up MR's?...WHIR

First time in a league that counts holds, and I'm wondering how and when I should be starting my MR's? For instance, I have both Linebrink and Juan Rincon. In a roto league with 2 SP, 2 RP, and 3 P spots, would I want to stick one or both of them in a P spot? I don't mean to make this a 'who to start' thread, I'm just wondering if there is a general roto strategy for holds. How many MR's do some of you like to usually start? My league has 1375 max innings and I'm just looking for some information on how I should be handling my line up. Thanks for any replies! Leave a link!

Unless you need the spot for a 3rd SP with a start, they should be in your lineup.

I play in a 16 team league with holds and usually have 6-7 SP, 2-3 closers and 3-5 holders. I'll generally fill out my P slots with holders, trying to have 6-7 pitchers going every day. One or more holders might sit, if I have a lot of starters going.

With essentially 5 slots for RP, you'll want 3 closers and 2 holders.

Depends on league and quality of pitchers. In a 12 team league, lots of times I'd rather grab a third or fourth holder than grab somebody like McClung or whoever will be closing for TB.
