This guy can do it all....If you can pick him and stash him then do at once...had a cannon for an arm..and swings a mean bat..Only matter of time before Griffey pulls up lame...If Freel, Hatteberg (Dunn to first)....Encarcion (Freel to 3rd)....fall off...then Hamilton will be in the lineup..

He will get a start on Thursday...right now he is just a pinch hitter, with an occasional start

I read that Adam Dunn called Hamilton the "best player I've ever seen" back in '98 or so when they were drafted. When asked about that comment again this spring, as they are both now Reds, Dunn said "he still is".

Good enough for me to stash him on my bench.

He will be starting by May... Freel doesn't offer much other than speed and injury risk, Griff (we know the story), Dunn is a better fit @ 1b... too bad he threw away 5 years or he might already be a top 20 OF, Gammons loves this guy...

he was going to start (most likely for Griffey) but he had the flu
