Seems that way. I've never seen a league where your bench didn't count against the salary cap. Too many variables that way in my opinion.

Something else I should add, is that if I'm reading the rules correctly, you do not have to participate in the snake draft. If you sign 26 players for $260 in the auction, then you are full and do not need to participate.

This was one of the sticking points as we neared the end of the draft the first time. My interpretation is we have $260 to spend on our roster - PERIOD. If we can budget our bidding to be able to get all 26 players in the auction, fine, if not, we will fill our rosters with $1 players at the end with a snake draft when no one has more than a dollar to spend for players. I had 23 players and $14 left to fill four bench positions and was told I couldn't bid on any more players since my 23 man roster was full.

It really should be like other auctions. Plain and simple.

$260 for 23 players.

Fill a bench via serpentine. They get $1 value. Thats why its good to raise the salary cap in season to $300. Or even just make it $270 or $265.
