Gary Matthews Jr. doubled twice in the Angels' 4-2 win over the Dodgers on Saturday night.

Matthews ended up hitting .267 with three homers this spring. He struggled early with the HGN controversy ongoing, but things quieted down and he played pretty well over the final three weeks. With no further talk of him getting suspended or having his contract voided, he is safe to own.

i would try to avoid him. there are tons of guys who have similar values to him. hes coming off a career year (which based on my opinion was a result of human growth hormone) so you should probably go another route.
