2nd Year Keeper League Draft WHIR

Postby Tulaneball » Sun Apr 01, 2007 3:27 am

How did I do?

H2H 5x5 (OBP instead of AVG) keeper league (2nd year)

C Martin
1 Fielder
2 Iguchi
3 Wright
S F Lopez
O Berkman
O Corey Patterson
O Cuddyer
Util Giambi (remember, it's OBP, not AVG)
BN Matthews Jr
DL Nick Johnson

SP J Santana
SP Webb
RP Ryan
RP Papelbon
P Torres
P Soriano
P El Duque
BN Anibal Sanchez
BN Scott Olsen
BN Doug Davis
BN Billingsley

I just traded J Vazquez and Crawford for Johan. I think it worked out well for me since I have CPatt to take my steals and my staff was weak.

i think you are stacked at pitching, which is a plus, but i think your bats depend on giambis health, and prince fielder needs to emerge this year.

overall i think you did well though....you have some insanely good pitching both starting and relief....hopefully its enough to carry you through the league

your team looks good. your pitching is gonna carry you this year. and if your potential young bucks play up to what we want them too i dont really see anything negative with your team. giambi would be the only ?? in terms of power rbi cats. im sure you can package a deal with giambi and one of your closers to upgrade your offense.

thanks for helping on mine..

You will need some help for OFs.

Depending on how many you keep, you might stash a Luke Scott over a Gary Matthews.

You might do it anyways.

Thoughts on mine?

we only keep 5, and with johan, webb, fielder, berkman and wright, i dont think keeping a luke scott is really and option.

Hmm, seems like you went heavy on pitching - giving up Crawford and Vazquez may not have been wise - you'll need to rely on big years from Prince Fielder and Jason Giambi. I'm down on Lopez, Iguchi and Patterson personally (isn't Patterson hurt as well?).

Who were your keepers?
