Strategy for K/9

Postby Besaid_Aurochs » Sun Apr 01, 2007 12:39 am

In my league we have wins, saves, era, whip, and K/9 for pitching stats - I was thinking of jacking up my team with closers since 4/5 cats are ratios. However, I need a minimum of 30 innings per week pitched. How many SP's and RP's do you think I should have? I have standard yahoo positions, 2 SP slots, 2 RP, and 3 P.

Well since its not just overall ks and its k/9, I think you should look into having 4 RPs and 3 SPs. I've never played in a league like this so I'm probably not the best person to ask, but I think the more relievers you get the better. They can help you in 4 of the 5 categories, and you will still have enough starters to get you wins.

I have played in a league like this and I think if you could find SPs reliable enough, go 4 SP and 3 RP.

One question though, don`t you get to have benched pitchers?
