8 Team, NL Only, H2H 5x5, non-keeper, daily changes

C - Martin
1B - Howard
2B - Phillips
3B - Zimmerman
SS - Rollins
OF - Soriano
OF - Willy T
OF - Chris B. Young
Util - Victorino
Util - Duffy
BN - Hart

SP - Sheets
SP - Myers
RP - Izzy
RP - Valverde
P - Randy Johnson
P - Patterson
P - Torres
BN - Wainwright
BN - Reyes
BN - Wheeler
BN - Hermanson

my offense clearly needs some power, especially at the util spot. guys im targetting:

fielder
franceur
ensberg
hawpe

what's reasonable to give up for those guys?

as far as pitching, i have tons of potential, but only 2 real reliable starters in sheets and myers. would love to get my hands on zambrano, but i just dont see that happening.

what areas do you think i need to improve to win the championship? keep in mind that in H2H dominance in 7-8 categories will beat balance in 10 cats every time.

here are the rosters of 2 teams in my league that seem to have what I need.

Team A:

1. (6) Chase Utley
2. (11) Matt Holliday
3. (22) Carlos Delgado
4. (27) Billy Wagner
5. (38) Matt Cain
6. (43) Prince Fielder
7. (54) Stephen Drew
8. (59) Rich Hill
9. (70) Morgan Ensberg
10. (75) Barry Zito
11. (86) Dave Roberts
12. (91) Mike González
13. (102) Carlos Quentin
14. (107) Brian Wilson
15. (118) Rich Aurilia
16. (123) Edwin Encarnación
17. (134) Chris Burke
18. (139) Doug Davis
19. (150) Chris Iannetta
20. (155) Mike Stanton
21. (166) Jorge Julio
22. (171) Bob Howry
23. (182) Henry Owens

team A has expressed interest in pitching and speed (mentioned sheets and willy t)

Team B

1. (8) David Wright
2. (9) Lance Berkman
3. (24) Carlos Zambrano
4. (25) Rafael Furcal
5. (40) Bill Hall
6. (41) Chris Young
7. (56) Jason Schmidt
8. (57) Adam LaRoche
9. (72) Barry Bonds
10. (73) Brian Fuentes
11. (88) Derek Lowe
12. (89) Dave Bush
13. (104) Chris Duncan
14. (105) Jonathan Broxton
15. (120) Orlando Hudson
16. (121) Mike Jacobs
17. (136) John Maine
18. (137) Chuck James
19. (152) Bengie Molina
20. (153) Oliver Pérez
21. (168) Tim Lincecum
22. (169) Luis González
23. (184) Terrmel Sledge

Love your staff, your offence could be stronger.

YOur offense is weaker than A, but greater than or equal to B

Your staff is better than both of theirs combined

Offense looks very fast but I think it lacks in all other categories. I would not be comfortable playing Taveras, Young, Victorino, and Duffy. I think this offense needs a lot of help.

Pitching can go very good or very bad. Need to hope they stay healthy. I do like Reyes and Wainwright on the bench.

Let me preface this by saying...I don't have any experience with NL only leagues...but here's my two cents:

Ensberg is a tough one to value. A couple of years ago he was great but now he's coming off injury, so he's a risk. Judging from when he was selected by the Team A owner, I would say he's got him over-valued and would expect the likes of a Valverde. I wouldn't make that move. But if you look at Prince, he seems to have him more accurately valued (based upon when he was picked.

One suggestion would be downgrade a position like SS, you could try to get two guys for Rollins. Maybe you could pull off something like Drew and Ensberg or Drew and Prince for Rollins.
Just a thought.

You are going to win SB every single week. As you said you need power. I would recommend you propose a trade of Willy T. and Patterson for B.Hall and some non injury risk pitcher.

try to get Matt Holliday. He should help especially if you can keep Willy T so if Holliday hits a HR w/ Willy T on you get 2 runs

i would LOVE to get my hands on holiday - unfortunately his owner is pretty shrewd and is gonna want an arm and a leg for him (as he should). that same owner has fielder and might be willing to deal since he has delgado. he's asking for sheets or myers straight up for fielder, which I'm unwilling to do. he also has morgan ensberg, who might be a cheap source of power. should i give up john patterson for ensberg? i think he might do that. i might also be able to get fielder for willy T and patterson, but i doubt it. thoughts? his team has been posted above.
