Is Furcal going to the DL?

There have been suggestions that Furcal will start the season on the DL, retroactive to his injury date (which probably means he'll miss only a handful of games).

Does anybody have any updates on this situation?

I heard that he may be ready for opening day.

From what I've read he might be ready for opening day, although he will most likely sit out the first few games therefore avoiding the DL.
