The Cubs better sign either Pudge Rodriguez or Javy Lopez. i don't care if it costs the Cubs $10,000,000 a year. Add one of these (soon be to over the hill) stars and the Cubbies have a real chance to take it all. Go Cubs GO!!

Javy is close to signing in BAL, and Pudge is still out there. I've heard Hendry may still be waiting for the price to come down.

I figure since they just lightened the payroll by Miller's $5M, they can sign Pudge now - right?

I believe Miller is owed $3 million dollars in 2004, and Hendry also sent OAK $800,000 in the deal. Hendry has wanted to get Barrett for a few years now, so I imagine he will want to start him now that he has him.
