the thing is though, if the league you're playing in isn't really hardcore, starting the season off by doing this, might not be in your best interest.

kind of like the reasoning in poker, that if you're playing at a weak table and people are just having fun, you don't want to sit there thinking over every decisions as it will just serve to elevate the play of your opponents.

I wouldn't not do it because it's too hardcore for a league or something. You play to win the game, as they say it. The thing is I don't see how doing it is really beneficial so I wouldn't do it anyways.

How is adding guys for a 0-3 sporadically throughout the year helpful? It's the same thing with churning pitchers. In the long run it usually hurts you more than it helps.

Only hurts you in BA. Giving myself a chance to go 1-3 or 2-3 is better than going 0-0. I guess this method works best for H2H. I always believed that giving my team more opportunities to get Runs, Sb's, RBI, and Hrs was better than benching that player. I don't punt BA but I really don't care about it.

So if I have a position player start everyday in H2H, I will have better odds to win the week than my opponent. If I have 9 guys start everyday that’s 3 (At Bats) x 9 (Players) = 27 Total Daily At Bats. 27 (Total Daily At Bats) x 7 (Days in a week) = 189 Total Weekly At Bats. {Some players will get 2 at bats, some will get 4....}. If my opponent misses 1 batter a day that’s an extra 27 at bats I am getting over him.

i don't even understand the counter-argument. do you guys start pujols and leave the rest of the offense blank so your batting average is sweet?
