If they are smart they will. There are plenty of teams who could use Redman. The Braves for one!

I'm thinking the Sox, Yankees, Cubs and 'Stros might challenge you there.

huge park to average size park
big run support to no run support

not to mention he only has had 1 good year

The last two parks ranking I saw had Pro Player as -.06 and -.059. Oakland's park was rated -.06 and -.066. Also Oakland scored more runs than Florida last year. The A's lost Tejada and Hernadez. The Marlins lost Lee, I-Rod and Encarnacion. I don't see how that would lower his value. Maybe having to face a DH might hurt him some but I don't see a big difference in value from last year.

pogo has a valid point with the DH thing. Other than that I think it's good for him to be in Oakland for the time being anyway.

Does it really matter if you think Oakland has the best rotation. That's all nice and well, but you don't need 5 guys in the playoffs.

Beckett and Randy Johnson have proven recently one guy can help carry a squad to the Series.

Huh? I remember Johnson having a little help from a guy named Schilling.

we wont have 5 guys in the rotation. if we have the big 3 healthy, then we already have a dominant staff with harden and redman (if hes still an A) to relieve.

lets see randy or beckett go against the best offense in baseball
