Keeper league changed from H2H to ROTO.. how I do? WHIR

Postby gws226 » Fri Mar 30, 2007 3:30 pm

Hey guys,

This is my first run into roto. This is actually my most competitive keeper league, too many people boo-hoo'd the H2H format and it got converted to a Roto... so it left me scrambling to balance out my team a bit.

10 Team Roto 6x6
R, HR, RBI, SB, BB, AVG, W, SV, K, HLD, ERA, WHIP
keep 5 + 1 Rookie (mlb league rookie rules)

C, 1b, 2b, ss, 3b, UTIL, OF, OF, OF
C:Piazza
1B:Big Poppi, Helton, Shealy
2B: Kendrick
3B: Aktins, Encarcaion
SS: Tejada, F. Lopez
OF: Beltran, Vlad, Dunn, T. Hunter, Brynes, Huff(3b), Corey Hart

SP:
Oswalt, Smoltz, Schilling, J. Patterson, Lilly
Street, F. Cordero, Dotel, Shields, Duscherer

one thing that would be helpful is knowing how many guys you actually start at each position. the offense looks solid enough, though you have very few steals. but what you really need to worry about is SP. the first 3 are solid, but lilly is questionable and who knows if patterson will stay healthy. i might recommend trading tejada for a good SP and playing lopez at SS to give you more sb.

You're fine in power with Ortiz, Vlad, Dunn, Atkins and Beltran. The only problem is really see is a lack of speed, it could hurt you a lot more in a roto than a h2h. Dunn could also be a problem guy with his avg. and K's, but I still like him. Pitching should be fine, although I'd probably let go of a reliever or two for another starter, anything good available???
Thanks to soty for this sig
