8 team 5x5 roto please help

Postby Alexcny » Thu Mar 29, 2007 5:59 pm

Just drafted my team. Its an 8 team standard 5x5 roto. I feel like I'm a little weak on pitching especially relief. I want to pick up more pithing but I'm afraid to drop some of my hitters.

Your pitching isn't too bad. Try to trade Alex Gordon to someone with a decent closer (or check the WW for a guy like Lugo)

I don't think you need Gordon when you have Wright, and you can probably get a big name in return for him

I am thinking about picking up valverde off the waiver wire but I don't know who to drop. I am afraid to drop kendrick if kent doesnt pan out. Gordon seems to valuable to drop as does rios

Yeah, most of the guys on your roster aren't "droppable" - I mean, there's only 8 teams in your league so I don't know if other teams are going to jump on anyone. Valverde would be a decent p/u but I really can't see who you'd want to drop. That's why I was thinking a trade might be the best option...look for a team with a top 3 closer and try to unload Kent or Gordon. With Wright, Gordon is expendable and Kendrick is the real deal ...
