sammy sosa/ scott hairston will they be staring in the OF

Postby kcbrost » Thu Mar 29, 2007 3:41 am

will these two players be starting for thier respective teams? i figure sammy sosa will not only start but play very well like in ST, and will be a great waiver pick up. Also will rookie Scott Hairston be starting in the OF for the Dbacks? he has had an awesome ST and his minor league stats reflect a great power ave. rbi guy?

Sosa primary DH for sure, but where is he batting in the batting order? 6th? 5th?

Sosa either in OF or as DH.
Hairston, likely, unless a turnaround of Carlos Quinten's shoulder occurs. Hairston will probably begin the season in LF, till Quinten's healthy enough.

looking at hairston and quentin minor league stats it looks as though Hairston may the better overall player? hairston had a great spring and hit 3hr in one game!!! if hairston starts out very hot it maybe be longer for quentin

Given the nature of fantasy baseball, I'd go with Hairston to start out the year. He's been hot and will be starting. By the time Quinten returns and takes his starting job away, another hot pickup will be available.
Should you be looking for a long term play, go with Gonzo.

I think they'll be staring more when they're at the plate.
