Hmmm........I for one don't mind the risk on Kaz. Maybe I can get him cheaper than I thought.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....

We have a guy in our league that grabs every import every year, but does it way too early than he has too. None of the guys have flopped, and he got Ichiro's great first year, but he's missed out on a lot higher quality players by pulling the trigger so quickly.
Look for this to happen again this year.
Maybe I can convince him to use his 2nd round pick by talking the guy up?
If I were playing third base and my mother were rounding third with the run that was going to beat us, I'd trip her. Oh, I'd pick her up and brush her off and say, 'Sorry, Mom,' but nobody beats me.

I'm in a 12 team keeper league in which we keep 10 players and I'm looking at him with one of my first picks if possible. It's not like he's a rookie, he has some experience and recent history has shown that the big stars in japan can be successful in the big leagues. He's at least a shortstop with some power, speed potential. Worth the risk if you ask me.
Spent $17 on Hideki last year...wasn't worth it. He wasn't even starting for my 16-team roto league squad at the end of the year -- granted the squad was pretty talented.
I'd spend $17 on Kaz. Not a plentiful position and 15 HR and 30 SB are possible. Don't think Kaz CAN'T steal 30+ because he didn't last year with Seibu....he batted 3rd and was asked to hit with power because they had no else that could. He'll be batting 1st/2nd with the Mets and I think Howe will make every effort to let Reyes/Matsui run on the paths to manufacture runs.
