I guess he's still battling injuries, so do u think his fantasy value will drop considerably? maybe not worth keeping on a team? will he bounce back?

I'm not sure. I've been hoping for a few seasons now but he never seems to quite crack it.

Drew reminds me of Casey in alot of ways. It is too early to say he isn't going to live up to his potential, but I am not high on his this year.

He not supposed to play until May. He has way more power than Casey but with knee problems watch his SB disappear.

true he will be "back in May", but how long will he stay? my bet is not long. expect 60 games out of him at best, and he will be playing hurt in 40 of those. stay away from him.

Don't be bitter Scurvy!

You can't blame Drew for wanting to play for a real team with real fans. We are fortunate to the Phillies for passing along Drew and Rolen. And i'm sure it will only be a matter of time for another one of your star players to see the light as well. ;-)

Anyway, back to the topic at hand. Obviously, if you can get Drew pretty late the more power to ya'. There's no question that the talent is there. It's only a matter of getting in a full season (and that's obviously something Drew can't seem to do).

But he's still there pretty late in a draft, then i'm certainly going to take a chance on him. You have to take risks in this game IMO.

dont take him

Postby gypsyspot » Tue Feb 25, 2003 2:48 am

I wouldnt bother with him. His knee problem is pretty severe. He might not be back for the start of the season, and when he comes back he will most likely sit against lefties. Ive also heard that he has to retool his swing due to the injury which also may hurt him. Over and out.
I know the future!!!!!!!
