Piazza DH not catcher

Postby The Rook » Wed Mar 28, 2007 8:08 pm

I'm a 12 year fantasy football vet but a first year baseball rookie. I drafted mike piazza in the 21st round with my last pick. As i dreafted him the commish told me "you know he's a dh right" i took him anyway and figured ai'd take care of it on the wire.

when i looked on the wire the night after the dreaft i saw mike piazza listed as a catcher, the next day he was a dh. This leads me to believe that it was changed seeing as i know yahoo and most leagues have him as a catcher.

this is my first year in a second year league. My question is Are there situations from a previous year that would make piazza a dh? or is this a matter of personal preference that commish decided. I know i can just ask the commish, but i want to be a little more informed before i make a stink.

He played 99 games at catcher last season. I can't imagine why he wouldn't be eligible at catcher in your league. I'm guessing your league isn't using Yahoo, since he is definitely eligible at catcher in Yahoo.

I'd handle that quick. You are getting screwed. Hopefully your commish gets that right.

Something is definately wrong. You need to get him at catcher ASAP. Some leagues have rules that once the season starts he would have to play catcher to be eligible. But there is no reason you shouldn't be able to place him at catcher to start the season.

I agree you're getting screwed. I'd like to know what website would not give him C eligibility.
