Just like it says in the title it is an 18 team keeper league H2H hosted by yahoo. 30 man rosters and without further ado here it is

C - A.J. Pierzynski - C CWS - 12th

3B - Akinori Iwamura - 3B TB - 13th
OF - Matt Holliday - OF COL - 2nd
OF - Jacque Jones - OF CHC - 12th
OF - Luke Scott - OF HOU - 11th
UTL - Lyle Overbay - 1B TOR - 8th
UTL - Chris Burke - OF HOU - 15th

SP - John Lackey - SP LAA - 3rd

BN - None

DL - Cliff Lee - SP CLE - 14th

This was a slow draft so I got guys like Lee before htey were injured and Spierer before he was traded. I need to pick up 2 players, 1 permanently. I was thinking a SP like Jae Seo but I'm not compleltley sure.

Thanks for your help guys, WHIR

Yikes, an 18 team keeper? I'll put some thought into this, so PLEASE WHIR my latest.

Comments in no particular order
(1) Punting saves? Better in H2H than in Roto, but still tough. I guess that's one way of coping with 18 man rosters.
(2) Some good value picks: Pierzynski, Renteria, Iguchi, J. Jones, C. Burke, J. Westbrook, W. Helms
(3) Some questionable picks: Encarnacion and Valentin as deep bench players -- I'd rather have somebody with more upside, since in most cases they won't play much anyway, you aren't risking as much if the upside never develops. Iwamura in the 13th -- seems awfully early to me, despite the sleeper-ness of the pick. I've been in 4 drafts this year that went over 250 picks deep, and never saw Iwamura get picked FWIW. Luke Scott in the 11th also seems early.
(4) Some trade suggestions -- what are you going to do if Iwamura doesn't turn out well? You don't have a single backup at 3B who plays full-time. I would recommend moving Overbay to acquire a backup option at 3B.

Thanks, I know 3B is my problem area.

Note that I drafted this team before ST started so I had no idea that Luke Scott would be getting THIS much competition.

I beleive that my pitching staff is strong enough to maybe deal someone like Lackey/Sheets/Myers and maybe a releiver for a strong upgrade at 3B.

I'm going to HIR right now :). I wanted the consistency with the bench picks by the way but I'm looking at everything and you don't understand how many young guys got taken. Bailey got taken in the 7th..... yea..... I know....

thanks for the help though, anyone else?
