I've been the commissioner of a Fantasy Baseball League now for 3+ years and we've really never had a problem with our divisional alignment and schedule. In year's past, we would have 2 divisions of 6 teams each and and the scheduling would be set up so that you play each team in your division 3X and each team in the other division only once (21 weeks). It all seemed to work out fine, however several owners are calling for a more evenly based schedule and one has been formed in which each team plays every other team in the league 2X and there is 1 team which you will only play 1X. We would still keep divisions and that team which you only play once winds up being in the opposite division.
My question is, in your experience, does this seem like the right thing to do? I can see divisions being a little lopsided (in regards to comparing W-L records) if we have a more even scheduling format and it almost doesn't make sense to even have divisions. But these same folks who are calling for this new scheduling format want the 2 divisions to stay. I need some advice.....anyone!?!?
